This Privacy Policy explains how MarketSquad ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use MarketSquad (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. Your email address and authentication details when you create an account.
  • Content you provide. Product descriptions, URLs, uploaded files and images, marketing direction, and other information you enter so the Service can research and market your product.
  • Connected-account credentials. When you connect a third-party account (advertising, social, or email), we store the access tokens or credentials needed to act on your behalf. We use these only to perform the actions you enable.
  • Usage & generated data. Research findings, plans, generated content, campaign and performance metrics, and logs of activity within the Service.
  • Payment information. Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; Stripe processes them under its own privacy policy.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • To generate marketing research, plans, content, and campaigns for you;
  • To publish content and manage campaigns on the accounts you connect;
  • To process payments and manage your subscription;
  • To communicate with you (e.g., verification, receipts, and important notices); and
  • To secure the Service and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing

To generate research and marketing output, we send relevant content you provide to our AI provider, Anthropic (which operates the Claude models). This data is processed to produce your results and is subject to Anthropic's terms and privacy commitments. We do not use your private content to train models.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Service providers that power the platform — including Anthropic (AI processing), Amazon Web Services (hosting and authentication), and Stripe (payments).
  • Platforms you connect — when you authorize us to publish posts, send email, or run ads, we share the necessary content and instructions with those platforms on your behalf.
  • Legal & safety — where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Connected accounts & tokens

Access tokens for your connected accounts are used solely to perform the actions you enable within the Service. You can disconnect a channel at any time from the app, and you can revoke access directly from the third-party platform. When you disconnect, we stop using the associated credentials.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data; we may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and respond to incidents appropriately.

8. Your rights

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use cookies to sell your data. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.

10. International users

The Service is operated from the United States and hosted on infrastructure located there. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
